James D. Ruskin, DMD, MD, FACS is a Professor and Section Chief in the Department of Surgery, Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Denver Health Medical Center., Denver Colorado Dr. Ruskin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the International Team for Implantology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Ruskin received his dental degree from the University of Florida in 1981, his medical degree from the University of Nebraska in 1985 and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska in 1987. He has authored over 85 publications in peer reviewed, refereed journals and is actively involved in research in the areas of guided bone regeneration and dental implants in compromised patient populations. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of surgical treatment planning the advanced and complex implant patient, team approach to dental implant placement, alveolar reconstruction, immediate implant placement, diagnosis and treatment of trigeminal nerve injuries and surgical complications associated with dental implant placement.
