Your ITI Website Account
You may need an account to use some of our services. You may create your own account, or your account may be assigned to you by an administrator, such as your employer or educational institution. If you are using an account assigned to you by an administrator, different or additional terms may apply, and your administrator may be able to access or disable your account.
To protect your account, keep your password confidential. You are responsible for the activity that happens on or through your account. Try not to reuse your account password on third-party applications. If you learn of any unauthorized use of your password or account, please contact us through our contact form.
You can request termination of your account at any time and without indicating a reason. Your ITI Membership will also end with the termination. Upon termination, the ITI is responsible for clearing/pseudonymization your user data from our website.
Our automated systems may analyze your profile, activities and website usage to provide you with personalized content suggestions.
Privacy and Copyright Protection
Using our services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our services or the content you access. You may not use content from our services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law. These terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our services. Don’t remove, obscure, or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with our services.
Our website and the information contained and referenced therein are for informational purposes only. Unless stated to the contrary any reproduction, retransmission or other use is strictly prohibited. To request for permission to reproduce any information contained on our website, please use our contact form.
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement and terminate accounts of repeat infringers. If you think somebody is violating your copyrights and want to notify us, please use our contact form.
Your Content in our Services
Some of our services allow you to upload, submit, store, send or receive content. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. In short, what belongs to you stays yours.
The only exception to this rule are submissions you make to the discussion forums. Should you decide to terminate your account and have your data anonymized, the content you posted on the forum will remain to maintain the integrity of the discussions.
Users are given the option to submit clinical content (clinical videos, case reports) for review and official inclusion in the Academy. Upon acceptance of such clinical content, the content author grants the ITI the non-exclusive rights of adding and using the content as part of the official Academy content library and to charge other users for its access. The clinical content will be published under the authorship of the user who provided it and the user will be remunerated for the content based on a separate agreement. This license continues even if you stop using our services. Make sure you have the necessary rights to grant us this license for any content that you submit to our services.
Anonymization of Patient Data
All diagnostic and clinical data (e.g. texts, images, videos) uploaded or submitted to our website are voluntary and shall not include personal information relating to patients that is not anonymous, unless documented informed consent has previously been obtained from the patient (any recipient of health care services).
In no event shall the ITI, its employees or associates be liable to any person or individual for any loss or damage that may arise from Patient Data being uploaded that is not anonymous.
Modifying and Terminating our Services
We are constantly changing and improving our services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a service altogether. You can stop using our services at any time. We may also stop providing services to you, or add or create new limits to our services at any time. We will then notify you by e-mail or the next time you attempt to access your account.
Academy Coins are not refunded to active accounts.
If you request termination of your active account, your remaining Academy Coins obtained by monetary purchase are refunded at their current value. If you request account termination and a refund, you will permanently lose access to your account and all unlocked Academy content therein and a processing fee of 75 CHF is applied. Academy Coins obtained through ITI Membership/Curriculum packages, vouchers or site activity are excluded from refund.
Any Academy Coins you used to unlock Academy content that you have erroneously purchased will be charged back to your ITI website account if:
- the Academy content has been unlocked in the last 7 days; and
- you have not requested another chargeback in the last 30 days; and
- the CPD/CME credits for the unlocked items have not yet been claimed by you.
