Daniel Wismeijer is Professor for Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry at ACTA Amsterdam. He is Chair and Head of the Oral Function and Restorative Dentistry section. His degree is from the University of Nijmegen Dental School (1984). Until 2006, he worked at the Amphia Teaching Hospital in Breda.

He is past president of the Dutch Prosthodontic Association and the Dutch Association for Gnathology. In the ITI, he served on the ITI Education Committee for eight years, he is a member of the ITI Research Committee as well as an ITI Board Member.
