Chair of the Department of Oral, Maxillo and Facial Plastic Surgery at Katharinenhospital in Stuttgart, Germany. Studied medicine and dentistry at the Universities of Tübingen and Freiburg. Completed his PhD thesis in 1992.
Professor Weingart was the first winner of the André Schroeder Research Prize in 1992. He served on the ITI Development Committee and in the Education Committee. He was the Chair of the ITI Section Germany until 2005, an ITI Board Member from 1997 until 2011 and ITI President from 2005 until 2009. In 2012, he became an ITI Honorary Fellow.
