Dr. Luis André Mezzomo is an Adjunct Professor of Prosthodontics of both Graduate and PostGraduate Programs of the Department of Dentistry, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
He graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) in 2003 and was awarded PhD in Prosthodontics from the same university in 2010 for studies in Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR).
He has been a former ITI Scholar in 2008-2009 with Prof. Nikolaos Donos, at the Eastman Dental Institute (London), where he has worked in clinical and preclinical studies, as well as in systematic reviews of the literature.
During his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2010-2013), he has worked in a clinical study and a meta-analysis on short dental implants, as well as in other preclinical studies in collaboration with the Department of Periodontology of the Eastman Dental Institute.
There is an ongoing clinical trial on short dental implants and several systematic reviews on different topics in Dentistry.
Dr. Luis Mezzomo is the Clinical Director of the Dental Clinic Evidence, in Florianópolis, Brazil.
Dr. Mezzomo is an ITI Fellow and Study Club Director in Florianópolis (Brazil).
