Alan Payne is a prosthodontist in private practice at Northshore Oral and Maxillo-facial Surgeons in Auckland, New Zealand . Alan previously had an established academic career, and was responsible for the initiation, leadership and establishment of the Oral Implantology Research Group, Sir John Walsh Research Institute, School of Dentistry, University of Otago, New Zealand. Alan Payne graduated from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa with a Bachelor of Dental Science, Master of Dentistry (Prosthodontics). He was awarded Fellowship of the College of Dentistry in Prosthodontics College of Dentistry, Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as DDSc (senior doctorate) from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. Dr Payne is currently an ITI member.
