Pedja Pavlovic - The Management of Peri-implantitis: Clinical Guidelines for dentists and hygienists for the prevention and non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis
Aims and objectives:
- Provide an overview of the clinical guidelines on peri-implant diseases
- Focus on recommendations for various stages of prevention of peri-implant diseases and non-surgical treatments
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the different types of prevention for peri-implant diseases
- Understand how to risk assess for peri-implantitis.
- Be able to interpret and implement the key recommendations on prevention of peri-implant diseases from the evidence-based guidelines in practice.
- Be able to interpret and implement the key recommendation on non-surgical treatment of peri-implant diseases
A number of clinical case examples will be used illustrate the current British Society of Periodontology (BSP), European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and International Team for Implantology (ITI) management philosophies for prevention and non-surgical treatment.
