Event Detail

Dental Sleep Medicine, Bruxism and the Effects on Restorative Dentistry with Dr. John Carollo

Dental Sleep Medicine is the fastest growing area in dentistry. The American Dental Association in October 2017 adopted a position that dentists screen for Sleep Related Breathing Disorders, (SRBD) and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Patient’s with Sleep Apnea also have significant bruxism issues, and these un-diagnosed OSA patients can be a cause for falling dental restorations and dental implants.

This program will look at OSA, and how treating the airway can help with your restorative resortations.
