Dear Members of the ITI Study Club UIC Chicago,

We are thrilled to announce the 2^nd event of 2025, which will be held on June 18^th (Wednesday), in the evening.

The speaker is Prof. Dr. Maurício Araújo, who will address “What Every Implant Clinician Must Know: Mastering Tissue Healing After Extraction for Flawless Immediate and Delayed Placement”.

Prof. Maurício Araújo is a Periodontist Specialist in private practice in Rio de Janeiro and at The State University of Maringa, Brazil. He completed his PhD at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden 1998. He is the chairman of the Perio/Implant Research Unit at the State University of Maringa. He and his co-workers have published groundbreaking research in ridge alterations following tooth extraction, ridge preservation, bone formation in extraction sockets, and immediate implant placement. He is an Osteology Foundation Honorary Board member, an ITI Fellow, a former ITI Chairman in Brazil, and an ITI Research Committee member. He is a member of the Editorial Board of several journals.

Afterwards, we will have dinner and a social gathering at the Avli at the Park restaurant.
