In the past approaches to improving patient outcomes have focused on medical device modifications. There

have been numerous improvements in implant, prosthetic designs and materials used to restore a patients

function. In the last few years the literature has confirmed some of the benefits in incorporating the use PRF

(Plalet Rich Fibrin) into our surgical protocols in implant dentistry. The benefits include improved handling

of bone graft materials (particulates), bone quality and soft tissue healing. The lecture will present both the

science behind the PRF technology and clinical protocols used in implantology.
