Synopsis 

One of the major revolutions in implant dentistry is the introduction of tilted implants as a treatment modality for complete edentulous and terminally dentate patients. 

Advanced grafting and sinus lift procedure in severely atrophic jaws may not always be acceptable or a desirable modality for most of these patients.

Tilted implants are one of the most effective techniques to functionally and economically rehabilitate such patients in minimum time duration.

This workshop aims at discussing 

1. The rationale of tilted implants 

2. Surgical protocols for tilted implants and Zygomatic implants

3. Prosthetic components for atrophic jaws

4. Immediate temporisation including denture conversion

5. Various options in final restoration in severely atrophic jaws

BIODATA

Dr Komal Majumdar has graduated from the prestigious Government Dental College, Mumbai. 

She has completed her Clinical Mastership in Oral Implantology from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine

She has completed her Mini Residency in Implant Prosthetics by Dr Saj Jivraj, Anacapa Dental, California

She has completed her one year online externship program with DentalXp at Atlanta, USA

She is a Diplomate at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. (DICOI, USA) 

She is also a Diplomate at the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists. (DISOI) 

She has completed her PG Cert in Endodontics from IGNOU at GDC, Mumbai. 

She is the recipient of 'Outstanding Dentist of the Year' at Famdent Awards, 2015 and ’Implantologists of the Year' at Famdent Awards, 2014.

She is in the editorial review board of IMPLANT DENTISTRY, the official journal of ICOI and also in the editorial review board of Spectrum Dental Teamwork Magazine, Canada

She is the co-author of the book CLINICAL FIXED PROSTHODONTICS 

And also the co-author in the book GRAFTLESS SOLUTION FOR THE EDENTULOUS PATIENT

She has published various articles both nationally and internationally 

She maintains a successful private practice at Navi Mumbai for the past 17 years
