Event Detail

Hobart ITI Study Club Meeting 2 - The maxillary sinus; to graft or not to graft. How do we answer such a SEEMINGLY simple question?

Dr Robert Fell - Periodontist

This study club presentation will discuss implant success and survival using the maxillary sinus as a case example.

There are many factors that must be considered when selecting the most appropriate treatment plan. Dr Fell will discuss how evidence based dentistry can be used to guide treatment recommendations. Unfortunately, clinical decision making is not always black and white. To provide successful outcomes we often need to ask who, what, when, how and why ..... or more importantly, why not?! Understanding the grey areas of implant dentistry helps us to balance the risk of implant failure and the risk of over treatment.
