We are thrilled to invite you for the 4th and final ITI study club meeting of this year. We have the privilege of having as our guest speaker Dr. Irina F. Dragan, DMD, DDS, MS. The title of her lecture will be : “Unlocking the potential of soft tissue alternatives”.

Brief description:

There have been major advancements in the field of soft tissue regeneration that allow clinicians to improve patient care. Various classifications of mucogingival deformities (Miller, Cairo) have been designed and validated to guide best practices in diagnosis. A thorough understanding of patients’ expectations can support the decision-making process in using the appropriate treatment plan option. During this presentation, the audience will be able to compare the use of soft tissue alternatives with autogenous gingival tissue and understand best practices to integrate soft tissue alternatives into clinical practice. By integrating a person-centered approach, a clinician can increase case acceptance and foster interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaborations.

• Discuss advancements in the field of soft tissue alternatives
• Review the science evaluating the integration of soft tissue alternatives into daily practice
• Facilitate the decision-making process incorporating a person-centered care approach
