Angulated Screw Channel Solutions in implant dentistry – When do we use them?
Synopsis:
There has been increased interest in the use of angulated screw channel abutment systems as an alternative to cement-retained restorations when certain clinical limitations lead to less than ideal implant positions. What are some clinical scenarios where the use of such systems may be indicated?

Dr Lin Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore, and completed her specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Southern California, USA. Upon returning to Singapore, she continued her practice as an Associate Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before joining private practice. Dr Lin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, as well as a Member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and Academy of Osseointegration (AO).
Dr Lin is a part of the Adjunct Faculty at the National University of Singapore, and she also participates actively as part of the Executive Committee of the Prosthodontics Society of Singapore as well as the Asian-Pacific Society of Osseointegration, helping to provide a platform for continuing education in the specialty of Prosthodontics. Her interest includes providing interdisciplinary dental treatment such as full mouth rehabilitation, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and dentures.
