Khalid is a registered specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, and Prosthodontics. He qualified from Glasgow University, having won the class medal in prosthodontics in 2000. Khalid is a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Higher Education Authority. Following accreditation, Khalid gained consultant posts in restorative dentistry at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in 2008 where the majority of patients under his care require a multi-disciplinary management with surgeons and orthodontic colleagues for their oral rehabilitation. He has published a number of papers and has a research interest in dental Implantology, and the oral rehabilitation of patients with congenital defects.

Khalid’s lecture topics will be on: 1. Intra oral scanners 2. Implant rehabilitation of patients with a congenital defects.

The study group welcomes members of all backgrounds from beginner to very experienced such that everyone takes home learning points at their stage of learning from this session.
