Restoring Sub-Optimally placed Implants
Aims:
To provide an overview of prosthetically-driven implant placement
To analyse the quality of surgical implant placement via case-based discussion
Objectives:
By the end of the study club, the participant should be able to:
- Understand how implant positioning and angulation can impact the restorative outcome
- Identify suboptimally-placed implants and the relevant restorative challenges
- Understand various management strategies for restoring sub-optimally placed implants and their limitations.
About our guest speaker: Dr Man Wing Ho (Manuel), BDS (HKU), MSc Cons Dent (UCL), Dip Implant Dent RCSEd, MFDS RCSEd
Manuel is an Associate Clinical Lecturer (Prosthodontics) at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. As well as his teaching role, he works in the Department of Restorative Dentistry in Eastman Dental Hospital. He will be sharing his clinical experiences from these institutes and that from private practice using real life case examples.
