Extraction and immediate implant placement and loading is nowadays considered as a reliable treatment option. This approach has certain benefits in order to preserve the soft tissue architecture and to provide immediate satisfaction of patients. However, key-aspects must be taken into consideration in order to insure successful and esthetic outcomes. This lecture aims to highlight the benefits and the limits of extraction and immediate implant placement and loading in the esthetic zone, in the posterior region and for full arch rehabilitations. Biological principles, decision-making and surgical techniques will be discussed through clinical research data and illustrated by case presentations.

• Identify indications for immediate implant / loading based on digital planning
• Understand the surgical key aspect of immediate implant/loading procedures
• Get familiar with new workflows for immediate loading procedures (partial and fully edentulous patients)
