Research Mentoring Program - About

About the ITI Research Mentoring Program

One of the core missions of the ITI is to facilitate and support cutting-edge research in implant dentistry to further this field. Research methods in implant dentistry are constantly evolving because of the development of new techniques and technologies, the improvement of quality standards, and the fast growth of clinical implant dentistry.

The ITI Research Mentoring Program is geared towards supporting the global dental community by addressing research challenges and contributing to the dissemination of high-level evidence, supporting the next generation of top researchers.

The research mentoring program is designed to match a talented researcher, who must be a former ITI scholar (the mentee), and an established researcher with specific expertise (the mentor). The mentee would spend a variable time period (between a few weeks and up to 12 months) at the institution of the mentor. During that time, the mentee is expected to gain research skills in a specific field, benefit from personalized research training, and plan a collaborative research project that should result in tangible contributions to advance the field of implant dentistry.
