Supportive Care for Implant Patients

This lecture provides the keys to designing successful and practical supportive care protocols for patients with implant restorations. Evidence highlighting the importance of this phase of treatment is presented. Preventive strategies including oral hygiene and biofilm removal techniques are outlined. Identification of risk for peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis are discussed along with diagnostic criteria for identifying biologic complications.
