Leading Periodontist Dr Wendy Gill joins Western Sydney and the Greater Blue Mountains ITI Study Club in presenting:
'Managing the Energy' - How and when to wave the tool.
Dental lasers come is all shapes and sizes. Knowing which one to choose is crucial for optimum results. Let's explore the potential for using laser energy in the maintenance of dental implants and the management of dental implant complications. A multi-factorial approach can assist in the management and treatment of implant complications.
Dr Wendy Gill graduated from UWA in 1994 and spent 9 years in general practice before completing her Masters Degree in Periodontology in 2006.
Wendy obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Perio) in the same year and now maintains a busy specialist periodontal practice in West Perth.
Wendy was previously the president of Australian Society of Periodontology (WA Branch), a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and a member of many dental associations across Australia and the globe. She co-ordinates a local ITI Study Club and is on the council for the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP). She lectures locally, nationally and internationally on periodontology and dental implants.
Dr Gill will be joined by periodontist Dr Jake Ball.
Dr Jake Ball commenced his speciality training at the University of Melbourne gaining extensive experiencing in periodontics and implant dentistry, teaching and research. He received an Australian Dental Research Foundation Grant for his clinical research in metabolomics and held the position of the University of Melbourne ITI Study Club Director. In 2019, Jake graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics. Dr Jake Ball is the newest member of the Western Sydney and Greater Blue Mountains ITI Study Club.
