COURSE DESCRIPTION:
As dental implant therapy continues to be the standard of care in the dental industry, dental clinicians are faced with treating surgical and restorative complications that arise from their treatment. Complications can arise at any stage from patient assessment to maintenance therapy and for a multitude of reasons: improper surgical and prosthetic treatment planning, prosthetic failure, soft tissue mismanagement, implant malpositioning and peri-implantitis to name a few.
Our own esteemed Study Club members will present cases to be treatment planned or show already completed cases. This will be followed by a lively discussion of the therapeutic alternatives that exist – an excellent way to exchange ideas and expand one’s learning for treating difficult cases.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Ability to identify various complications to help diagnose, treat and avoid both surgical and prosthetic complications
- Factors leading to complications and the reasons they occur especially in the esthetic zone
- Treatment planning complex cases
