Event Detail

“Implant rehabilitation of the posterior maxilla: A simplifying Approach"

Dear colleagues,

We hope that you’re surviving the frigid winter days! We are kicking off 2025 with an awesome series of speakers, and a total of 4 study club lectures. Two of our lectures will be in collaborations with our colleagues from Boston North Study Club, from Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

We have the pleasure and the honor of having as our guest speakers for our first joint lecture on Monday, May 19th; pioneers in the research and clinical aspects of the minimally invasive rehabilitation of the posterior maxilla. Drs. Simon Abi Najm and Marc El Hage, all the way from Switzerland. Please check out their bios on the next page.

The posterior maxilla presents challenges due mainly to sinus proximity and thus limited bone height. The main goal of this lecture is to provide a comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of dental implant rehabilitation in the posterior maxilla, a simplified approach. Participants will learn the latest advancements in implant dentistry to successfully rehabilitate the posterior maxilla using the sinus osteotome technique without the apposition of bone substitute material.

Learning Objectives

• Learn the step-by-step technique of osteotome sinus floor elevation without grafting for predictable implant placement

• Understand how the osteotome sinus lift technique minimizes invasiveness, reduces post-operative discomfort, and improves patient acceptance

• Learn to identify ideal candidates, contraindications, potential complications, and treatment planning considerations for osteotome sinus elevation without grafting

• Review clinical studies demonstrating the long-term success and stability of implants placed using the osteotome technique

CE credits will be available upon request. Dinner and beverages will be served.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Warm regards,

Hamasat and Hp
