Treatment of Peri-Implantitis. Is there a Standard of Care?
This lecture presents an evidence-based approach to the prevention and treatment of peri-implant conditions. Differential diagnosis of peri-implantitis is described, enhanced by the inclusion of both typical and atypical presentations of peri-implantitis. Pretreatment factors that must be addressed prior to further therapy are outlined, and nonsurgical and surgical treatment approaches are thoroughly covered. In addition, focus is placed on the role of supportive therapy and maintenance care. All clinical recommendations given in this lecture are supported by rigorous research.
