This congress lecture highlights the current and potential future uses for digital implant technologies in relation to optimizing esthetic outcomes in implant prosthodontics. Clinical examples are used to illustrate benefits of utilizing digital implant technology, from treatment planning to prosthesis delivery. This lecture also discusses the added benefit in the use of digital implant technology in carefully designing and controlling the emergence profile of the abutment in the transition zone, which impacts on hard and soft tissue stability.
