Benefits of Grafting in the Management of the Osteotomy Site in Immediate Implant Placement

This lecture discusses the benefits of grafting the buccal gap during immediate implant placement procedures. In the first part, the author details the four different implant placement protocols described by Buser, and he describes the clinical prerequisites to use an immediate implant placement protocol. A complete literature review of the topic is provided, including several cases to illustrate this protocol. In the final part, the author describes a personal case series where he aimed to explore the potential benefits of not grafting the buccal zone. This technique is discussed in conclusion.
