The six domains of the ITI Curriculum Foundation level form a standardized, structured and certified learning pathway that enables newcomers to acquire core knowledge across all key aspects of implant dentistry. It forms the basis from which participants will go on to treat patients with competence and confidence.

The ITI Curriculum Foundation level is supplemented by an on-site hands-on program that provides the practical clinical skills required for the routine monitoring of existing implants as well as those for the assessment, treatment planning, and restoration of SAC straightforward patient cases. Hands-on exercises are supported by dedicated teaching videos in the two categories shown below.

A sequence of assessments ensures that learning objectives are achieved for each Domain before participants can move on to the next. The final examination is a multiple-choice exam consisting of 80 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The pass mark for this exam is 60% and must be completed successfully to be awarded the ITI Certificate.

Option 1: Take the ITI Curriculum Foundation level with an ITI Curriculum Provider

A number of education institutes have been authorized by the ITI to provide the ITI Curriculum: Foundation level. The course program offered by each institute is unique, but covers the 6 Domains of the ITI Curriculum Foundation level and provides access to the ITI learning platform with 35 Learning Modules, domain assessments, and clinical case-based learning.
