About the Scholarship Center

The ITI Scholarship Center of Bordeaux, France is located at Bordeaux University and encompasses all aspects of implant dentistry.

Clinical activities are hosted in the Department of Oral Surgery and comprise implant treatment plan & planning, implant placement and prosthetic rehabilitations, bone grafts and soft tissue management. Depending on the previous clinical training of the scholars, the clinical activities will consist in observation, clinical assistance or patients treatment under supervision.

Research activities are mainly focused in tissue engineering and biomaterials developments, from innovative 3D in vitro models fabricated with 3D bioprinting to evaluate novel biomaterials, to in vivo models of peri-implantitis and bone reconstruction in small and large animals.

As the objective of the scholarship is to offer a broad overview of dental implant science, the typical week of ITI scholars are shared between clinics, didactic lectures and research. Young clinicians/researchers with a post-graduate training in Oral Surgery / Periodontics / Prosthodontics / Implant Dentistry, with skills in scientific writing are preferred.
