About the Scholarship Center

The University of Michigan ITI Scholarship Center program is housed in the School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. A great deal of clinical expertise in implant dentistry exists in this Department and it maintains a number of ongoing clinical and pre-clinical research projects in implant dentistry, periodontics and restorative dentistry. In addition, the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine is highly integrative and fosters interdisciplinary care through close collaboration with the disciplines of prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This integrative philosophy to comprehensive patient care is central to the Department and a significant factor in the success of the dental implant program at this Center
