Dar\u00fcber hinaus behandelt die Abteilung Patienten mit Zahnlosigkeit aufgrund schwerer Atrophie, angeborener Fehlbildungen wie Spalten und kraniofazialer Anomalien sowie infolge der Entfernung gutartiger und b\u00f6sartiger Tumoren, Bestrahlung und der Einnahme antiresorptiver Medikamente. Schlie\u00dflich unterh\u00e4lt die Abteilung ein zahnmedizinisches Kompetenzzentrum f\u00fcr Patienten mit seltenen Erkrankungen, darunter Patienten mit ektodermaler Dysplasie und anderen Syndromen, die implantatgetragene Versorgungen ben\u00f6tigen.\r\n\r\nEs wird davon ausgegangen, dass sich die Arbeitszeit des ITI-Stipendiaten zu gleichen Teilen auf Forschungsaktivit\u00e4ten (50%) \u2013 einschlie\u00dflich Datenverarbeitung, Datenauswertung und Verfassen von Texten \u2013 und die Teilnahme an der klinischen Arbeit (50%) \u2013 einschlie\u00dflich Behandlungsplanungssitzungen, Operationen, prothetischer Rehabilitation und Kontrollterminen \u2013 verteilt.
