The Specialist Clinic is staffed primarily with specialists in periodontology and in oral surgery, a few general practitioners with a focus on periodontology and oral surgery, and dental hygienists. At the Specialist Clinic, treatment of periodontitis and management of peri-implantitis with conservative and surgical interventions, as well as implant therapy - including bone augmentation when needed - is delivered on a referral basis. Commonly, the prosthetic part is performed at the referring clinic, but occasionally, it is done at the university clinic.\r\nThe ITI Scholar can take advantage of the possibility of arranging auscultation visits for shorter periods of time at other specialist centers in Sweden. It is essential to understand that the ITI scholarship stipend does not cover all living expenses but only contributes to these. Therefore, make sure you are fully aware of the cost of living in the city of this Scholarship Center if you consider applying for it. You must be prepared to co-finance the cost of living out of your own pocket. The ITI cannot provide additional funding during the scholarship year.
