ITI-Stipendiaten haben zudem die M\u00f6glichkeit, Zeit in einigen der anderen Lehrkrankenh\u00e4user sowie an der Universit\u00e4t Toronto zu verbringen. Im Holland Bloorview und im Hospital for Sick Children wurden umfangreiche Erfahrungen mit Zahnimplantaten bei Kindern, Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen gesammelt, ebenso wie mit einer Vielzahl von Patienten mit einzigartigen kraniofazialen Syndromen, Lippen- und Gaumenspalten, nach einer Tumorentfernung sowie mit posttraumatischen Defekten. Treating patients alone if the Scholar has sufficient skills to do so. The Scholarship Center Faculty will determine the extent of patient treatment based on the progression of skills demonstrated by the scholar during their first 6 months in the Center. Patient treatment is only permitted inside the Dental School.\r\nThe right to come to work and study in Canada is determined by Immigration Canada. The right to provide the full range of supervised treatment and care to patients, including surgical and prosthodontic care, is regulated by the licensing authority, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Once accepted by the ITI with proof of funding, the successful ITI Scholar must apply to Immigration Canada at the Canadian Embassy in their home country for a work permit for Canada. The ITI Scholar must also apply to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons for an educational license and pay the same licensing fees that all postgraduate students in Ontario must also pay.\r\n\r\nOverview of requirements:\r\n\u2022\tCanadian work permit\r\n\u2022\tEducational license from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario\r\n\u2022\tTOEFL or IELTS certificate for non-native English speaker\r\n\r\n ITI Scholars will need to obtain a limited license to work with patients: ITI Scholar\u2019s Guide to Holland Bloorview \/ University of Toronto Scholarship Centre \r\nThis guide deals with application for work permit, registration with University of Toronto, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, SickKids Hospital, Toronto ITI Study Club, and details of daily living and finding accommodation in Toronto.
