ITI Scholars work directly with Dr. Gallucci, the department chair, who is trained in both prosthodontics and periodontics. They also have access to other faculty members representing the various specialties involved in implant dentistry. Additionally, clinical teaching of predoctoral students for at least one day per week is part of the program. This will allow the ITI Scholar to obtain a limited license, which is issued by the Board of Registration in Dentistry in Massachusetts. The limited license is necessary to participate in clinical activities. The language certificate must be valid (no older than two years) at the time of application for the limited license. The ITI Scholar is responsible for organizing and providing the required language certificate.
