ITI Scholars are based within the Department of Prosthodontics and have opportunities to interact with residents and faculty in Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Hands-on procedures assisted and performed by the scholar will take place in conjunction with treatment of patients assigned to specialty residents and faculty."},{"acf_fc_layout":"description","title":"Additional information on the clinical activities","description":"The ITI scholar can expect to gain extensive clinical experience both in placement and restoration of dental implants. Didactic coursework, primarily in seminar format, is available and encouraged. Case conferences and treatment planning seminars occur weekly and the scholar is expected to participate. \r\nIt must be emphasized that the ITI Scholar's program year will reflect the ITI Scholar's personal wish for experience. Those wishing to further their surgical exposure will spend more time with the surgical faculty while those interested in prosthodontics will spend the majority of their time in the prosthodontic clinic. Emphasis is placed on digital procedure experience.\r\nITI Scholars will participate in case conference and treatment planning seminars as well as other didactic exposure as agreed to between faculty and the ITI Scholar. The key to this Scholarship opportunity is flexibility in surgical and prosthodontic experience.
