ITI-Stipendiaten, die ein Jahr am UB Implant Center verbringen, werden nachdr\u00fccklich dazu ermutigt, sich an Forschungsprojekten in den Bereichen Implantologie, Dentalmaterialien oder digitale Zahnmedizin zu beteiligen. Der Direktor des UB Implant Center sowie die Lehrkr\u00e4fte des Implant Center oder der Abteilung f\u00fcr restaurative Zahnmedizin stehen den ITI-Stipendiaten w\u00e4hrend des gesamten Stipendienjahres als Mentoren zur Seite. Die ITI-Stipendiaten haben die M\u00f6glichkeit, bei der Teilnahme an einem laufenden oder k\u00fcrzlich begonnenen Projekt betreut zu werden, um dessen Abschluss vor ihrer Abreise sicherzustellen. Surgical preparation includes digital planning and manufacturing for the restorative and surgical steps with CAD\/CAM workflow for the surgical and restorative steps, as well as observation of the treatment sequence, planning, and surgical preparation. During the treatment execution, scholars will have the opportunity to bridge the gap between planning, preparation for the treatment plan, and the execution of carefully planned treatment modalities of varying diagnostic planning will have the opportunity to bridge the gap between the diagnostic planning, preparation for the treatment plan and execution of carefully planned treatment modalities with different complexities.\r\nDuring the scholarship period, the scholar will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research projects or be assigned different roles in clinical or non-clinical research projects. As the digital workflow is part of the daily routine in Buffalo ITI Scholarship Center, the scholar is expected to conduct at least 1 research project that leads to publication or be part of a research project that will be assigned and mentored during this time to gain research experiences, part of the ITI Scholarship experience.\r\nITI Scholar will have various opportunities to participate in implant courses in advanced education programs or teaching opportunities as a teaching assistant or course facilitator during the undergraduate level courses.
