Oktober 2024 durch den Zusammenschluss der Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) und des Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech). Die 1928 gegr\u00fcndete TMDU war Tokios einzige staatliche Universit\u00e4t und eine der \u00e4ltesten zahnmedizinischen Fakult\u00e4ten Japans. Die Fakult\u00e4t f\u00fcr Zahnmedizin legt den Schwerpunkt auf ganzheitliche Versorgung, wissenschaftliche Forschung und Probleml\u00f6sung aus internationaler Perspektive und arbeitet mit \u00fcber 50 Universit\u00e4ten weltweit zusammen. Im Jahr 2024 erreichte sie Spitzenplatzierungen, darunter den ersten Platz in Japan und den vierten Platz weltweit im QS World University Rankings.\r\n\r\nDas ITI-Zentrum am Institute of Science Tokyo bietet ein einzigartiges Programm f\u00fcr Stipendiaten an, das Rotationen durch drei Abteilungen umfasst: Regenerative und Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, Parodontologie und Gerodontologie. Dieses Rotationssystem vermittelt ein umfassendes Verst\u00e4ndnis der Implantologie aus verschiedenen Perspektiven. In der Abteilung f\u00fcr Regenerative und Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin lernen die Stipendiaten die prothetisch orientierte Implantatplanung, Techniken zur Knochen- und Weichgewebeaugmentation sowie fortgeschrittene Verfahren wie die Vollmundrekonstruktion, beispielsweise knochenverankerte Br\u00fccken und All-on-4, kennen. Die Abteilung f\u00fcr Parodontologie konzentriert sich auf die Behandlung biologischer und \u00e4sthetischer Komplikationen im Zusammenhang mit Zahnimplantaten, w\u00e4hrend sich die Abteilung f\u00fcr Gerodontologie mit Implantatbehandlungen f\u00fcr \u00e4ltere Patienten mit systemischen Erkrankungen sowie mit fortschrittlichen Technologien wie digitalen Prothesen und deren Herstellung befasst.\r\n\r\nDas Programm umfasst Vorlesungen, praktische \u00dcbungen, Seminare, Workshops, Literaturrecherchen und klinische Kurse und f\u00f6rdert die Teilnahme an nationalen und internationalen Kongressen. Die Stipendiaten besch\u00e4ftigen sich in Zusammenarbeit mit den Fakult\u00e4tsmitgliedern mit vielf\u00e4ltigen Forschungsbereichen, darunter Hart- und Weichgeweberegeneration, Implantatprotokolle, Biomaterialien und digitale Arbeitsabl\u00e4ufe. Das Institute of Science Tokyo ist weltweit f\u00fcr seine wegweisende Forschung anerkannt und bietet ein dynamisches Umfeld, in dem die Stipendiaten berufliche und pers\u00f6nliche Netzwerke aufbauen und so zuk\u00fcnftige Forschungskooperationen f\u00f6rdern k\u00f6nnen.
