Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Ausbildung von Zahn\u00e4rzten (DDS), promovierten Wissenschaftlern (PhD) sowie Assistenz\u00e4rzten der Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie. Die Behandlungsplanung sowie grundlegende chirurgische und prothetische Prinzipien bilden das Fundament unserer Abteilung. Unsere Fakult\u00e4t blickt auf eine lange Tradition zur\u00fcck, ihre klinischen sowie Forschungsprojekte auf zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Tagungen vorzustellen.\n\nDie Ausbildung von Studierenden und Doktoranden in der klinischen Implantologie auf der Grundlage des ITI-Lehrplans sowie klinische und grundlagenwissenschaftliche Publikationen stehen im Mittelpunkt unserer Arbeit.\r\n\r\nDie Fakult\u00e4t ist aktiv an der Behandlung von Patienten mit fehlenden Einzelz\u00e4hnen oder mehrz\u00e4hligem Zahnverlust beteiligt. Mithilfe der SAC-Beurteilung werden die Studierenden in der Behandlungsplanung und der Durchf\u00fchrung von sofortiger bzw. verz\u00f6gerter Implantatinsertion geschult.\r\n\r\nPatienten mit vollst\u00e4ndiger Zahnlosigkeit oder mit terminalem Gebiss stehen ebenfalls im Mittelpunkt unserer Abteilung. Bei der Behandlung dieser Patientengruppe kommen sowohl analoge als auch gef\u00fchrte chirurgische Verfahren zum Einsatz. Die Indikation f\u00fcr verz\u00f6gerte versus sofortige Belastung wird im Lehrplan ebenfalls hervorgehoben.
