Using New Technology to Enhance Treatment Outcomes

Prosthodontically driven implant placement has been a buzzword in the field of implant dentistry for a while. Yet, implant malpositioning continues to be of concern and is especially prominent in presence of deficient alveolar bone width or height.

The main focus of this lecture is to highlight the advantages (and limitations) of digital technology in implant site diagnostics and 'top down' treatment planning to enable optimal implant placement and with that successful treatment outcomes.

At the end of this Congress Lecture you should be able to…

  • recognize the advantages of digital planning in implant dentistry
  • get familiar with a digital workflow
  • respect the indications and limitations for guided implant surgery.
