ITI Future Leaders Program

About the program

With its Future Leaders program, the ITI scouts, identifies and develops outstanding young dental professionals with early leadership experience. Through mentorship, collaboration, and exposure to new opportunities, the program builds a strong pipeline of emerging talent – both for the ITI and for the broader field of implant dentistry.

How to participate

Participation in the Future Leaders program is by nomination only. ITI Fellows are eligible to nominate candidates once annually, typically in October/November following an official invitation from ITI Headquarters.

The program targets young dental professionals who are emerging leaders in implant dentistry. Ideal candidates show strong motivation to contribute to the ITI, commit to its purpose, vision and mission, and have demonstrated early leadership success in one of these areas:

Networking

Proven ability to build communities in dentistry through study clubs, societies, conferences, workshops, online platforms, or similar initiatives.

Education

Successful track record as a speaker, educator, course creator, education platform builder or social media influencer in dentistry.

Academics

Strong academic credentials such as top 10% graduation, high-impact publications, or established international networks.

Entrepreneurship

Strong track record of value creation for patients or customers through exceptional clinical practices, consulting services, education businesses, product development, or patents.

Selection and mentorship

Future Leaders are selected through a structured process led by the ITI Leadership Development Committee and the Future Leaders Board of Mentors. These two bodies ensure that each Future Leader receives tailored mentorship, guidance, and support aligned with the ITI’s vision, mission, values and organizational goals.
