ITI Congress Japan: Bridging the gap between tradition and innovation

Last weekend, 1,600 participants attended the ITI Congress Japan in Tokyo and made it a huge success. Under the umbrella theme “Tradition and Innovation” the scientific program focused on the development of the ITI and long-term scientific evidence as well as on shaping the future of implant dentistry by creating trends. The Scientific Program Committee succeeded in bridging the gap between the past and the future and set up two captivating congress days for both the older and the younger generation of implant dentists. Parallel sessions throughout and several hands-on workshops gave the program an edge and attracted a high number of participants, who greatly appreciated this opportunity to combine theory and practice. Thanks to this variety of options, participants from all over Japan could benefit to the fullest from these two days. The high percentage of national speakers and the fact that the congress program covered the whole range of modern implant dentistry were appreciated by the audience.  Hideaki Katsuyama, Scientific Program Chair, was more than happy with this ITI event: “When I saw the response from the audience I could tell that appealing to both generations individually was a more than successful approach.”
