At its 6th ITI Consensus Conference, held from April 17 - 19, 2018 in Amsterdam, the ITI once again gathered together professionals from all over the world to review the latest literature and establish implant dentistry guidelines for the coming five years.
From March 17-18, 2018 the fascinating city of Marrakesh, Morocco hosted the second ITI Francophone Congress. Four years after its first edition, the ITI once again brought together the French-speaking dental community under the heading "Implant Dentistry of the Future".
From March 16 – 17, 2018, the former German capital Bonn was the setting for the 9th ITI Congress Germany. Close by where politicians once debated the future of the country, the future of implant dentistry came under discussion by almost 800 dental professionals.
Last weekend, 840 participants attended the ITI Congress Brazil in Gramado and made it a huge success. During this inspiring and intense three-day event, the scientific program revolved around “When predictability reaches simplicity” and covered topics such as surgical and prosthetic planning, reconstructive procedures, esthetic materials in implant dentistry and minimally invasive surgery.
From March 8-10, the Hotel Barceló on the Riviera Maya in the Yucatan region, directly located on Cancun's gorgeous beaches, hosted our ITI Congress Mexico and attracted more than 200 professionals from the field of implant dentistry.

The ITI Annual Conference 2018 represents the latest milestone in minimizing risks and improving outcomes in dental implant therapy. As 2017 draws to a close, it is timely to reflect on the remarkable achievements of the ITI over the last 12 months. This year saw Prof. David Cochran complete his 4-year term of office as ITI President.

India warmly welcomes the ITI with its first official national event: The ITI Education Day India was held on December 3, one day after the ITI's industry partner Straumann celebrated the inauguration of its new subsidiary in India with the Straumann India Symposium.
As one cycle finishes, the next begins: The second cycle of the German Curriculum for participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland came to a close in Freiburg in early November.

More than 350 participants attended the ITI Welcome Reception during this year's EAO Congress in Madrid, making it the largest ITI reception at a third party congress ever. The reception was held at Real Café Bernabéu inside the world-famous Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home stadium of the current Champions League winner Real Madrid.
The ITI congratulates Frauke Müller, member of the ITI Board of Directors and Chair of the ITI Leadership Development Committee, on being the first dentist appointed an individual senate member of the SAMW (Schweizerische Akademie der Medizinischen Wissenschaften/Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences).
The ITI congratulates ITI Past President David Cochran on being awarded a Gold Medal by the American Association of Periodontology for his outstanding contributions to the Academy through service and an understanding of the study, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases.

The 27th ITI Education Week at the University of Bern has just come to an end. With 50 participants from 19 countries, this year’s course was another great success. Among the participants were young as well as more experienced clinicians eager to profit from the 12 speakers’ knowledge on successful implant techniques for the rehabilitation of fully and partially edentulous patients.
On August 28, 2017, ITI Headquarters welcomed a second group of dentists from China. The group included Fellows, Members, a former ITI Scholar as well as other dentists with an interest in evidence-based treatment.
ITI President Dr. Stephen Chen just returned from a weeklong trip to Asia where he visited the ITI Sections China and Taiwan. In both Sections he met with the Section Leadership Teams to discuss international and local ITI educational initiatives and their implementation.
