Courses in the Learning plan (4 E-Learnings)

Curriculum Assessment and Treatment planning

This module guides clinicians through the comprehensive process of evaluating patients and planning implant treatment. It begins with an overview of the financial considerations of implant dentistry, including cost–benefit analysis, pricing strategies, and the growing market potential of implant therapy.

Learners will then explore structured assessment and treatment planning, considering key patient-related factors such as social expectations, treatment acceptance, and relevant medical risk factors. The module also covers site-specific clinical examination, including prosthetic space evaluation, anatomical considerations, and hard and soft tissue assessment.

Imaging and digital workflows are introduced through digital impressions and CBCT acquisition and interpretation to support accurate diagnosis and planning. Finally, participants will learn the principles of implant treatment planning, including SAC classification, timing of implant placement after extraction, loading protocols, and digital prosthetic-driven planning with surgical guide design.

By the end of this module, participants will be able to perform systematic patient assessments and develop predictable, evidence-based implant treatment plans.

Curriculum - Surgical procedures

This module provides a step-by-step overview of the surgical procedures involved in dental implant therapy. It begins with clinical and business considerations, including comparisons between implants and three-unit bridges, treatment success rates, and patient communication during consultation and treatment planning.

Participants will then learn how to prepare for implant surgery with proper surgical setup and fundamental surgical skills such as flap design and implant site preparation. The module covers drilling protocols, osteotomy techniques for different bone types, and the principles of guided implant surgery.

Finally, the module focuses on soft tissue management and wound closure, including periosteal release, suturing materials, and suturing techniques to support optimal healing and clinical outcomes. By the end of this module, learners will understand the key surgical steps required for predictable implant placement and successful tissue management.

Curriculum Prosthetic Procedures

This module focuses on the prosthetic phase of implant therapy, guiding clinicians from postoperative assessment to the delivery of the final restoration. It begins with evaluating healing after implant placement, recognizing early complications, and implementing structured follow-up protocols.

Participants will learn digital  impression techniques, including the use of implant scanbodies and digital workflows. The module also covers prosthodontic planning principles, digital prosthesis design and fabrication, and key considerations for occlusion in fixed implant prostheses.

Additionally, learners will explore effective communication with dental laboratories to ensure accurate prosthesis fabrication. The module concludes with the clinical protocol for delivering fixed implant-supported restorations, including try-in, verification, fitting, and patient instructions for maintenance and documentation.

Curriculum Aftercare and Maintenance

This module focuses on the long-term care and maintenance of dental implants. It covers the identification, prevention, and management of biological complications such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, as well as common hardware complications associated with fixed implant prostheses.

Participants will also learn how to monitor peri-implant tissue health through systematic maintenance protocols, including assessment of peri-implant tissues, understanding peri-implant biofilm, and recognizing the effects of inflammation. By the end of this module, clinicians will be able to support long-term implant success through effective follow-up care and complication management.
