Presurgical status. Distal extension situation in the left mandible. Status 2 months following extraction of both premolars.

Following elevation of a fullthickness flap, the 3 implant beds have been precisely prepared in area 34, 36 and 37.

Insertion of an SLA implant in area 36 with the new ITI insertion device providing a "no-touch" delivery system from the sterile ampoule.

The implant in area 36 is seated. The insertion can now easily be removed.

Status following wound closure with interrupted single sutures

At 6 weeks following implant placement, the soft tissues have nicely healed. The implants are now ready for restoration with a provisional FPD to allow full functional load.

Status following insertion of solid abutments with an insertion torque at 35 Ncm.

The periapical radiograph at abutment placement demonstrates normal bone around the 3 implants without evidence for periimplant radiolucencies.

Clinical status at 3 months of loading with a provisional FPD.

The periapical radiograph at 3 months of functional loading: Stable bone crest levels are apparent around the 3 implants.
