Four major means of transportation available for getting around the city; taxi, bus, tour bus and rental or private cars. Abu Dhabi international airport offers extensive facilities with boutiques, large stores, a sand golf course, and much more. The airport is an architectural landmark and has become an icon to promote the tourism industry in the city. There is a good network of roads in the city and hardly any major traffic issues even during peak time. Modern bus transportation connects all major locations around the clock. Another option to explore the city is by taxi or car rental, which are conveniently located all over the city.

Taxis in Abu Dhabi

The taxi transportation system in Abu Dhabi is well developed with a number of different categories. Pink tag taxis driven by women are meant particularly for women and children, and new silver taxis (with a yellow tag) are for everyone. The taxis follow a unified meter system, the flag down rate is AED 3.5 in the morning and AED 3.75 after 9pm. Taxis can be hailed almost anywhere and booked by calling 600 535353. Inter-Emirate taxis are available at the main bus station on Hazaa Bin Zayed Road at the intersection of Al Muroor and Defence road.

1 - If the guest is coming from Dubai through YAS ISLAND to Beach Rotana

Please Inform the guest that as soon as you take right from the Shahama road, drive straight on yas island for about 26KM then cross the bridge of Sadiyat and first signal go straight then second signal (which is next to carpet souk) take left and then cross the signal and go straight and after 1kilo meter take left and you can see the first construction junction ,Drive straight and after crossing three traffic signals , at the forth signal take left and after few meters you can see the building of the Beach Rotana on your right side.

2 - If the guest coming from Dubai through Maqta Bridge (eastern ring road)

Please inform the guest that as soon as he cross the Maqta bridge, take first right which is called eastern ring road and drive straight after 6 to 7 kilometer you will see the bridge so drive on the bridge and after the bridge drive straight and pass two small signals and when you reach to the junction of salaam street you will see a turn right and left, please take a right and keep driving , in very first signal please keep your vehicle at the first or second line of the road, As you crossed the traffic light after few meters you can see the Beach Rotana building on you right.

3 - If the guest is coming from Dubai after Maqta bridge through airport road

Please inform the guest to drive straight on the airport after 5to6 kilometer you will see the bridge which is called Immigration Bridge and drive straight .When you cross four traffic signals and then when you reach to Etisalat building which will be fifth signal take right and drive straight , that street is called Zayed first street , keep driving straight and then on the forth traffic light turn right and drive straight so you cross the first traffic light and take left on the next signal. As you take left after few meters you can see the Beach Rotana building on your right.

4 - If the guest is coming from the Corniche

Please inform the guest to keep driving straight on the corniche road and as soon as you see ADMA OPCO building on the right from that traffic signal please keep your car on the left track of the road and drive straight as you cross the Sheraton building which will be on your right and then at the first signal turn right and drive straight. After few meters you will see construction and junction, drive straight after crossing three traffic signals, in the forth signal take left and after few meters you can see the building of the Beach Rotana on your right side.
