Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires was the venue for the ITI Congress Argentina & Uruguay that took place on June 14 and 15 and attracted close to 300 professionals from the field of implant dentistry.
The scientific program offered an update on the most important issues in the field as well as answers to frequent questions. Well known national and international speakers discussed the congress topic “State-of-the-art implantology” and provided the audience with valuable insights. Among them were Paolo Casentini and Maurizio Tonetti from Italy, Paul Fugazzotto from the US as well as Waldemar Polido from Brazil. The Section also welcomed the new ITI President David Cochran to Buenos Aires. It was the first time he had participated in a national congress as ITI President.
A clinical case and research competition was also part of the congress. Eduardo Wingerter’s poster was awarded the prize for the clinical case competition, Alberto Loddo won the research competition.
“The participants were very satisfied and felt that they benefited greatly from the high level of the scientific program”, said Martha Maria Theodorou. “As the Section’s Education Delegate, I had the tremendous satisfaction of being the recipient of most of the congratulations, but I would like to share them with all the speakers and the organizing team. I would also like to thank all of them as well as the exhibitors whose support helped to make this congress a success.”
The ITI Section Argentina & Uruguay was established in 2006 and has close to 300 Fellows and Members. The Section’s next congress will take place in 2016.
