"Perfectly in-tune with the needs and expectations of the clinicians" – that is some of the feedback from participants at the ITI Congress North America held in Chicago from April 28 to 30. The theme of the congress was "in" as in innovation and the combination of lectures and technology pods was patient-centered with a contemporary focus on topics of interest. The technology pods – that are unique to the US/Canada Section and a much anticipated aspect of the Congress – offered the possibility for participants to interact with speakers in a small group setting while learning clinical techniques that contribute to the quality of care for their patients.
With over 1,000 participants, who had travelled in from 39 different countries outside North America, the congress provided a comfortable and friendly environment within which to network between lectures, visit the exhibition and experience the Tech Pods. And all the lectures from the congress can now be found in the Online Academy Classroom of the US and Canada ITI Section.
Congress Scientific Program Chair Will Martin commented "The congress made it clear to me that there are many skilled clinicians about and they supplied valuable knowledge that could be taken and immediately applied in practice. The TEAM is still very relevant!"
For the US and Canada ITI Sections, the Congress showed that being "in" is more than a fashion statement – it's an open invitation to innovation and inspiration!
