Close to 300 implant dentistry professionals attended the ITI Congress Finland that took place in Helsinki, Finland, from September 11-12. The congress ran under the title "Clinical Controversies" and focused on topics as diverse as bone augmentation, treatment strategies in fully edentulous patients, virtual treatment planning and material selection. The strong international faculty included Simon Jensen, Anthony Summerwill and Daniel Wismeijer, along with the cream of local speakers.
With its comprehensive program, the two-day congress did not disappoint: Apart from the high-level scientific program, a presentation of the ITI Online Academy and an extensive industry exhibition, the congress offered parallel sessions specially tailored to the needs of dental hygienists and assistants as well as dental technicians. "Participants were extremely satisfied with the high academic quality of the lectures and the overall organization of the event," said Juhani Laine, Chair of the Scientific Program Committee. "My personal highlight was the lively and very open spirit of the congress that spurred young specialists and general practitioners to take an interest in the ITI."
