ITI Congress Austria: tradition and innovation

Renowned speakers, top-class lectures and stimulating discussions – all this was to be found at the second ITI Congress Austria held at the Hotel InterContinental in Vienna from June 10 to 11. The congress entitled “Innovationen und bewährte Konzepte auf dem Prüfstand” offered its 165 participants many opportunities to benefit from a well-balanced program, get insight into both traditional and innovative treatment concepts and talk to experts and colleagues.

The congress was structured in three sessions covering prosthetics and materials, minimally invasive treatment concepts and complication management – all of them with a focus on traditional and innovative treatment concepts. The diverse topics were addressed by a strong faculty made up of national speakers, among them Andrea Albert-Kiszely, Sascha Virnik, Ulrike Webersberger and Michael Payer, as well as a number of international experts, including ITI President David Cochran and Niklaus P. Lang. “Our speakers did an outstanding job,” said Michael Payer, Education Delegate of the Austrian ITI Section. “We received a lot of positive feedback from participants who said that they were extremely satisfied with the high academic quality of the lectures, the event’s overall organization and the unique venue located in the center of Vienna”.

The diverse scientific program was complemented by a presentation on the ITI Online Academy, two industry workshops as well as an industry exhibition, which highlighted the latest products in the field.
