1st ITI Congress Iran welcomes well over 800 participants

Kish Island, a popular resort island in the Persian Gulf, was chosen as the location for the first ITI Congress Iran, which attracted more than 800 participants. The congress was held in cooperation with the Iranian Association of Implantology and featured an impressive list of international speakers who discussed the advances, challenges and current state of research in implant dentistry: Klaus Lang (Switzerland), Jean-Pierre Bernard (Switzerland), Daniel Wismeijer (Netherlands), Bjarni Pjetursson (Iceland), Aleksa Markovic (Serbia), Joseph Bassil (Lebanon) and Ali Tahmaseb (Netherlands). Their lectures and especially the panel discussion at the end of the two-day congress, at which the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions, were greatly appreciated.

Panel lectures on “Legal Points in Dental Implants” (Day 1) and “Rational Drug Prescription and Use in Implantology” (Day 2) were also part of the congress and were presented by distinguished local speakers.

An ITI Gala Dinner held in the evening of the first day rounded off the very successful congress. It was the perfect opportunity to further discuss open questions, and also to meet up with old and make new friends.
